This is a keyboard for the Pit River languages, Achumawi and Atsugewi.
Glottalized consonants
- Type ,. to glottalize a consonant, so type p,.
create
p̓, t,. to create
t̓, and so on for the other consonants.
- For
a glottal stop ʼ, type
, l (comma
plus lowercase L).
Aspirated
consonants
- Type hj to create a raised ʰ
, so type pjh tocreate pʰ, and
so on.
High
tone (Achumawi) or stress (Atsugewi) on a vowel
- Type ;' to create an acute accent, so type a;'
to create á, and so on for the other vowels with Achumawi
high pitch or Atsugewi primary stress.
- Type `1 to create a grave accent. For Atsugewi
secondary stress, type a`1 to create à, and so forth
for the other vowels.
The ` key is next to the numeral 1 key, just above the Tab key, in the
upper left corner of your keyboard.

Dot for length (Atsugewi)
- Type .; to create the raised dot ˑ for
length (in Atsugewi).
